THE IMMORTAL HEAD

2012

93 minutes

The Immortal Head is a horror/romance set in Weimar Berlin. A young doctor, Max Lenz, disturbed by the sight of his patients with severe facial injuries from WWI, fixates on an ancient bust of an unknown woman in a museum -- the "Immortal Head"-- until he falls in love with Veronika Belmer, a beautiful Jewish artist who resembles the sculpture. Veronika and Max's romance blossoms, but when an accident plunges Veronika into a coma only to wake up in 1936 with the Nazis in power, Max must use all his skills as a surgeon to save Veronika, and their love is put to the ultimate test. Music by Kevin MacLeod.

Winner Best Animated Film at the Independent Filmmakers Showcase in Los Angeles where it screened. It was also screened at Portland Community College's Rock Creek Campus.
